Shaftesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team

This week, it has been another hot one , we have been busy working proactively and responding to incidents across Shaftesbury
Took witness statements relating to an ongoing neighbour dispute investigation.

Conducted arrest enquiries for an outstanding offender.
 Attended a road traffic collision on Lower Blandford Road.
Arrested and stop searched a shoplifting suspect. 

Due to officers being in the right place at the right time, the offender has been reported to court and stolen items were recovered and returned.
 Held a Mobile Police Station at Lidl. Thank you to everyone who attended. The next session will be on 10 September 2026, from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Submitted intelligence reports to support ongoing policing activity.

 Issued tenancy warnings on behalf of Magna Housing after joint visits.

 Carried out high-visibility foot patrols  across the area.

 Liaised with Dorset Council regarding anti-social behaviour complaints.

 Several reassurance visits

Overall, the team remained focused on crime prevention, community engagement, tackling anti-social behaviour, and supporting ongoing investigations.
